Scary news on a Sunday afternoon, as USF Bulls defensive back Hassan Childs was shot and injured overnight in an apparent road rage incident, where he was allegedly the aggressor and pointed a gun at a Tampa couple.
Childs is currently in non-life threatening stable condition. The Bulls are in the midst of their Spring practices, currently, and Childs did practice Saturday.
Bulls beat writer from the Tampa Bay Times Joey Knight has more from the Tampa Police Department report:

Obviously, the story is taking a negative turn, if Childs was the aggressor after a road rage incident and was, in fact pointing a gun first at the couple. He would likely be facing criminal charges. The shooter, 26 year old Jovanni Jiminez claims to have shot Childs three times in self defense and was not taken into custody, as of now.
Childs is a fifth year senior from Kissimmee, who returned after red-shirting from an ACL injury in 2015 and made 16 tackles in a reserve role last year.
We will update more on the story, as more info and details are released.
