The arrest of now former USF defensive lineman LaDarrius Jackson last week for a charge of sexual assault set off a national controversy and debate, when the judge at his bail hearing slammed the football program and specifically, head coach Charlie Strong.

We wrote about Tampa Judge Margaret Taylor’s fiery commentary here.

She recused herself (legal term for asking off the case) the following day, as the debate boiled over locally and nationally. Jackson was eventually given bond on the charges last Friday.

Well now, we have learned that another woman has come forward and accused Jackson of assaulting her in a separate incident that happened in March. He has turned himself in Wednesday on the new charges.

Here’s the latest:

Jackson, who is a senior with a year of eligibility left after transferring from a junior college, had been suspended by Strong and the University from the team pending the outcome of case #1.

Wednesday afternoon he was officially dismissed from the program.
