UCF will “Salute the Troops” with cool military helmets Saturday

The UCF play on the field has turned around dramatically this season. After a dismal 0-12 and flailing around in the American Conference, the Knights are very much improved in 2016.

At 5-4 headed into this Saturday’s home game with Cincinnati, there’s real optimism for a bowl game this year and the future is definitely brighter.

Oh, and something else cool and brighter will be going on this Saturday for the Golden Knights; new helmets to honor the U.S. Military as part of Veterans Day weekend.

The Knights will not only wear the “Red, White, and Blue” UCF, but will also use the logo of each of the five branches of the military on the right side of the helmet. It’s a neat gesture to say “Thank You” to those who have served on our behalves.

Read and see more from the UCF Equipment guys about what the helmets look like and the “Salute” Saturday, here.

Now, if QB McKenzie Milton and his teammates do their part under those patriotic helmets against the Bearcats, it will be an even bigger weekend in Orlando.
