The rehabilitation of Ryan Tannehill’s left knee continues to be on display at Dolphins OTA’s this week and on Thursday he met with the media to discuss the progress to getting back in live game action this fall.

As we have well documented, Tannehill, on the diagnosis of Dr. James Andrews and the backing of the Miami mediacal staff, did not have surgery on the injured left ACL. Instead the call was for rest and rehabilitation. And the last two days, Tannehill has been on display, not just for the team, but the media running and moving around just fine.

After the OTA workout on Thursday he spoke with the media here:

As Tannehill said in the clip above he has to get use to the brace and knows that it won’t be until preseason games, when he faces live opponents at full speed and possible hits, as to how it will go.

Here’s more on his decision not to have surgery from the Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero.

The stem cell therapy angle on injuries is nothing new, as Peyton Manning, Tiger Woods, Kobe Bryant and others have all recently utilized it. The Fins are hoping that it will lead to having Tannehill ready for August games without having undergone the knife.
