The Florida State Seminoles recruiting was a mess when they were in-between coaches and when Willie Taggart initially arrived on campus. Fast forward to now, under a week before signing day, and the Noles are gaining momentum at the right time.
Following the commitment of four-star Tampa receiver Warren Thompson earlier this week, Florida State has the No. 15 ranked recruiting class in the nation, per 247 Sports.
Taggart and company had a busy month, bringing in five hard commits in January.
FSU now has the third highest ranked recruiting class in the ACC behind No. 8 Clemson and No. 5 Miami. The Noles were also able to jump ahead of rival Florida, who we mentioned before are having a great commitment offseason of their own.
The Seminoles still are not done however with several targets they are looking to real in on signing day. With the commitment of Thompson, the Noles will hope he can get in the ear of his Armwood High School teammates Malcolm Lamar and James Miller.
The Noles are also attacking hard on QB James Foster, wide receiver Tre’Shaun Harrison, and defensive lineman Jamarcus Chatman, too.
If FSU can land all of or most of those athletes, plus some more of their targets they have an outside chance at securing a top 10 class.
After all of the offseason coaching chaos, the Noles look like they will not only salvage some of it, but now, looking good to have one of the best recruiting classes in the South.
