It was supposed to be easy for FSU Friday night, and it was. Simply, Boston College had nothing to challenge the Noles with and got blown out 45-7.

Starting QB Deondre Francois threw for 3 TD’s before exiting early to rest, as the Noles racked up a 35-0 lead going to the fourth quarter. Senior Sean McQuire took over in the final period to guide the Seminoles offense and led them to a TD drive of his own as the lead swelled to 45-0.

A week after being blasted by Louisville 52-7, BC again, had little to offer in resistance in Tallahassee. The Eagles did not register a third down conversion (0-9) in the first three quarters and rarely got past midfield all night. They did put together a garbage time drive in the final five minutes to get a TD to avoid the shutout.

Having lost 14 of their last 15 ACC games, you have to believe that head coach Steve Adazio is in his final days in Beantown.

RB Dalvin Cook, who came into the game needing 127 yards to break Warrick Dunn’s all time FSU rushing record, ran well but came up just short, finishing with 108 yards on 18 carries, including a TD. He  was also given the fourth quarter off and will get his next chance next week against Syracuse to break Dunn’s mark. Tune in early, Nole fans. He will get the record in the first quarter at the Carrier Dome.

Seminoles head coach Jimbo Fisher remains perfect over BC with now a 7-0 record.
