The Florida State Seminoles easily disposed of Syracuse on Saturday dominating throughout the entire performance 45-14. The Noles took a quick 14-0 lead and never looked back. RB Dalvin Cook only needed 18 yards to surpass Warrick Dunn’s all time school rushing yards record, and he did that pretty easily. He finished the game with 225 yards on 28 carries and 4TDs. Those 4 TDs by Cook tied him with Greg Allen (1981-1984) on the all time list.

This game was all about Dalvin Cook,  who will leave school likely forgoing his senior season as the best RB in school history. The fact he did this in only three years in telling how nasty of a back Cook is. The Noles had a 21-7 lead going into half time. The exploded in the third quarter with 21 points. All three of those TDs in the third quarter were run in by Dalvin Cook.

Syracuse QB Zach Mahoney threw two costly picks, but that wasn’t the whole issue. The Syracuse defense couldn’t stop Cook and QB Deondre Francois who threw for 318 yards before being sat for Sean McGuire as the Noles lead was clearly insurmountable. The Noles offense fished with 652 yards while holding Cuse to only 233.

The Noles move to 8-3 overall and 5-3 in the ACC. They have a showdown with the Gators, who just clinched the SEC East on Saturday.
