We obviously have to pace ourselves with the NFL Draft still two months away, but there seems to be a growing consensus that former Noles star running back Dalvin Cook is not only going in the first round come April, but likely a very high pick.
We have written about where NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock recently ranked Cook, including the repeated comparisons with LSU’s Leonard Fournette in draft status.
Now, the NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” show is the latest to extol Cook’s abilities. Co-host Peter Schrager even went so far as to make comparisons to other premiere NFL running backs. Take a look:

Obviously, he’s got his opinions and those are some heavy names.
But, after the Cowboys jumped at Ezekiel Elliott in the top five last year (and how did that work out?). Then, the Rams doing the same with Todd Gurley the previous draft, you have to think that Cook goes fairly high, if not top five also, in the opening round.
There will be many more days and many more “draftnicks” praising Cook over the next sight weeks.
We believe this hype is on the mark.
