Sure it’s only April and many schools are just wrapping up Spring practices, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start talking about the odds of who will win the national title this season in college football. One team that is one of the early favorites happens to be the Florida State Seminoles.

Here are the most recent odds coming out of Vegas.

7-2

Alabama Crimson Tide

7-1

Florida State Seminoles

Ohio State Buckeyes

USC Trojans

10-1

Oklahoma Sooners

12-1

Michigan Wolverines

15-1

Clemson Tigers

LSU Tigers

Louisville Cardinals

20-1

Auburn Tigers

Penn State Nittany Lions

Texas Longhorns

30-1

Georgia Bulldogs

Washington Huskies

40-1

Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Oklahoma state Cowboys

Virginia Tech Hokies

Obviously it’s very early. What we do know is that the ACC is going to be competitive yet again. You have Clemson and Louisville in their division and they are both 15-1 odds. You have Virginia Tech 40-1 odds. This also doesn’t include Miami who the Noles will once again play and are expected to compete for an ACC coastal crown. It’s actually kind of interesting to see FSU with such favorable odds considering their required schedule. A schedule which kicks off the season against Alabama, then takes on Miami two weeks later. In addition of course their in state rivalry game against Florida.

The Noles can afford to lose to either Alabama and Miami and could still make the playoff by running the table. Their schedule is tough, but if they can manage only one loss even through the ACC title game, you can see why Vegas gave them favorable odds.
