Even though National Signing Day was only on Wednesday, it’s never too early to speculate and put a tremendous amount of unwarranted pressure on 17 and 18 year old young men. This is because that’s what grown men like myself, who haven’t played a down at any level of college football, like to do.
Anyways, Florida State had yet another top ten recruiting class during the Jimbo Fisher era, which has become common place. One of the several five star recruits the Noles reeled in is RB Cam Akers. Akers a native of Clinton, Mississippi was the nation’s top running back. He is expected to make an immediate impact for the Noles in 2017. Of course this is going to create comparisons to the school’s most prolific RB ever in Dalvin Cook, who smashed the all time FSU rushing record in just three seasons.
Our friends over at Seminole Sports Radio talk about Akers being among four true freshman that will likely make an impact this upcoming season.
