Well. If you were looking for an indication of where the Dolphins stood after returning home following a 10-day layoff and a loss to the Bengals that dropped them to 1-3, you got your answer Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium.
Actually, the Dolphins are no longer standing as the Tennessee Titans handed them a 30-17 defeat to knock them down again and continue their troubles at 1-4.
QB Marcus Mariota was the story of the day, running for an early TD and then throwing three more, as the Titans led by 10 at halftime and never were threatened in the fourth quarter.
Here was his second TD toss of the day to TE Delanie Walker:

Yes, even former Dolphin Rishard Matthews hauled a 4th quarter score to rub salt in the wounds, as almost everyone got in the act for Tennessee.
DeMarco Murray ran for 121 yards on 27 carries and the Titan D held Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill to just 191 yards and picked him off twice. The Fins offense mustered just seven first downs on it’s first eight drives and had no late rally in them.
So, now comes an even deeper hole for first-year coach Adam Gase to dig out of, and he must also decide if backup QB Matt Moore might be needed to jump start the offense.
