It was a struggle but the Florida State Seminoles followed up their dramatic win over Miami last Saturday night with a closer than most thought 17 – 6 win over Wake Forest Saturday in Tallahassee.
Noles QB Deondre Francois threw for 319 yards and the clinching touchdown late in the third quarter. Travis Rudolph had a staggering 13 catches for 238 of those yards to help FSU hold off the pesky Demon Deacons.
Travis Rudolph became just the third Seminole with multiple 200-yard receiving games. Joins Ron Sellers (who had 5!) and Craphonso Thorpe.

Wake refuse to quit and actually made a huge defensive play in the 4th quarter, when they stripped Francois, recovered the fumble and set themselves up in great scoring position trailing only by 11. But, the FSU defense stuffed them and when the Deacons missed the field goal, Florida State could exhale and would go on to win.
Dalvin Cook finish with 115 yards on the ground for the Seminoles who improved to 5 – 2 on the season.
