That quick TD strike set the tone early for how this game is going to be played.
McKenzie Milton would toss another first quarter TD to Jamiyus Pittman to go up 14-0. The Pirates would strike right back with a Thomas Sirk would hit Deondre Farrier for a 5 yard TD. Then UCF would continue the pressure with Adrian Killians making it 21-7 to close out the first quarter off a 5 yard TD run.
UCF would blow the game wide open as Milton would punch it in himself with a 1 yd run, and then Tre Neal would take a Thomas Sirk pass back to the house for a 50 yard INT return. The Knights now up 35-7. The Pirates would tack on another TD as the Knights would match going into halftime 42-14.
The third quarter was a pretty quiet one on both sides until Mike Hughes returned a punt 66 yards for a TD, now it’s 49-14. At this point the game was already out of reach and the fourth quarter was just a requirement. UCF would score two more times as the Pirates would add a garbage time TD, with UCF rolling 63-21.
Milton would go 21/27 for 324 yards 2 TDs and 1 TD on the ground. The Knights would rush for 235 yards as a team including 5 TDs on the ground. This was a dominant game and good sign that at least on the offensive side of the ball, the Knights are a force to be reckoned with.
