Rapid Recap: Jacksonville Jaguars Continue To Struggle In Loss to Lions

Another Sunday and another loss for the Jacksonville Jaguars. This time to the Detroit Lions 26-19 in Detroit. This is a team that just finds ways to lose. The Jags did have a slight lead 9-6 with 2:45 left in the first half after Blake Bortles found Allen Robinson for a 3yd TD. The lead didn’t last long as Detroit hit a field goal close to the end of the half to tie the score.

In the second half Blake Bortles threw a pick six to Rafael Bush 1 minute into the third quarter going down 16-9. After a Jags field goal, Bortles found Marquis Lee for a TD, and the Jags jumped up 19-16 going into the 4th quarter.

The 4th quarter was all Detroit as they outscored the Jaguars 10-0 in the final frame. The Jaguars offense is not good enough to overcome three turnovers. Borltes had two INTs and they lost a fumble. The running game was also anemic, rushing for only 85 yards on the ground. Chris Ivory did have a productive game, catching 6 catches for 75 yards. But his lost fumble was costly.

The Jags are clearly in major disarray. This is their fifth straight loss. The question right now is whether or not Gus Bradley will make it through the rest of the season. The Vegas odds are likely even money right now.
