Say this for FSU, they do NOT play low scoring dull games. Unfortunately, for the ‘Noles the “crazy scoring/rally to win it at the end” bit them Saturday evening. Big time.
North Carolina kicker Nick Weiler booted a 54 yard FG as time expired and the Tarheels virtually ended the Seminoles ACC hopes and definitely ended (by virtue of a second loss already) the hopes for the College Football Playoff with a 37-35 win.
Here’s a GIF of Weiler’s celebration and Tomahawk Taunting after the win:

UNC showed great resolve after giving up the go ahead TD and PAT in the final :25 seconds. After a touch back, they moved into long field goal position with a medium completion and a pass interference penalty.
The Noles had put on a furious second half rally after trailing 28-7 behind RB Dalvin Cook’s 140 rushing yards and 3 TD’s. QB Deondre Francois threw for 372 yards and scored what appeared to be the game winner on a diving scramble on FSU’s last possession.
But, ‘Heels QB Mitch Turbisky played brilliantly throwing for 405 yards and 3 TD’s and lead the winning FG drive into position.
It’s North Carolina’s first win over a top 15 program since 2009.
