The Dolphins defense knocked Ben Roethlisberger out of the game in the 2nd quarter with a left knee injury. The Pittsburgh QB returned in the 3rd quarter but, was gimpy and ineffective most of the second half. He only completed four of this first 11 passes and had a crucial interception late in the period that gave the Fins momentum for good.
Miami converted the INT into a TD when Ajayi took it in from a yard out and led 23-8.
QB Ryan Tannehill was protected well, for once this season, and was not sacked after he had gone down 11 times over the previous two games. He finished 24-32 with 252 yards passing.
With the win, the Dolphins improve to 2-4.
