With the regular season concluding Sunday night, 12 teams are enjoying the reward of the post season, while 20 more are now looking towards 2018 and getting better. A big part of that will be the annual NFL Draft coming at the end of April.

And the slotting of non-playoff teams was completed with the end of the 16th games for everyone. And for fans of the Bucs and the Dolphins, they now know where they will be selecting in round one.

Here’s the official order of the top 11:

1. Cleveland

2. NY Giants

3. Indy

4. Cleveland (from Houston)

5. Denver

6. NY Jets

7. Buccaneers

8. Chicago

9. Oakland

10. San Francisco

11. Dolphins

First, the Bucs snapped their five game losing streak with a last second win over the Saints 31-14 and finished 2017 at 5-11. In the four way tie with the Broncos, Jets and Bears, the Buccaneers slotted as third worst. So, they will be in the seven spot.

As for the Dolphins, their loss Sunday to the Bills dropped them to 6-10 and into a tie with the Raiders, who lost and fired coach Jack Del Rio after the game, and the 49ers, who won their final five games after Jimmy Garappolo took over as their starting QB.

Miami was the third worst in that tie with the two West Coast teams and will be in the eleventh position of the opening round.

As for the Jaguars, they qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 2007. So, that means that they will pick no better than 21st depending on how they fare starting this weekend. After a decade of selecting in the top 10 of the draft, Jacksonville will gladly trade that draft position for getting a chance to play on in the post season.

Meanwhile, whether it’s pass rusher or running back help in Tampa Bay, or offensive line and linebacker help in Miami, crank up the draft talk starting today.
