Jaguars and Dolphins both badly need wins today

Florida Football Insiders

When last we saw the Jaguars 14 days ago, they scored their first victory of 2016 with a win over the Colts in London. For the Dolphins, it’s been a miserable start to first year coach Adam Gase and his team has now dropped four of it’s first five.

Both need some swag on this third Sunday of October and both have their work cut out for them.

The Jags will be up at Soldier Field taking on the equally struggling Bears at 1 p.m. It looks like Brian Hoyer will start again for Chicago, as Jay Cutler’s injured right thumb hasn’t heeled. Meanwhile, QB Blake Bortles and Jacksonville’s receivers found something at Wembley and will look to continue. He pledged this week to get top target WR Allen Robinson more touches (good news Fantasy owners) and the Bears pass D has been riddled repeatedly this season.

In Miami at 1 p.m. the Dolphins must snap out of a lethargic performance in a home loss seven days ago to the Titans. It’s been a tumultuous last few days,  Adam Gase deleted some offensive linemen to begin putting his imprint on this team. The Fins have not been able to protect QB Ryan Tannehill who’s been sacked 11 times in the last two games. That obviously, must change.

For Pittsburgh, their high powered passing game led by QB Ben Roethlisberger and WR Antonio Brown comes off two outstanding games in the Steel City. They will force the maligned Miami secondary to stop them first or it will be another long day in South Florida.
