In medieval times the saying went “to the victors go the spoils,” and for the Kansas City Chiefs they’ll be celebrating their Sunday Super Bowl win for many weeks to come. And, the guy that led them to their first World Championship in 50 years decided to head to “the happiest place on Earth” Monday to celebrate.
MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes participated in the daily Disney “Main Street Parade” at the Magic Kingdom in Orlando Monday, less than 24 hours after leading the Chiefs to a 31 – 20 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

It was definitely a neat moment for the former number 1 pick out of Texas Tech, who once tweeted seven years ago that his dream was to win the Super Bowl MVP and then star in the NFL commercial with Disney, where he would be saying the famed “I’m going to Disney World” line.
It had to be surreal for the 24 year old Mahomes, as he stood on the field at Hard Rock Stadium in the aftermath of the win with confetti falling and uttering that line as part of the Disney commercial that began airing nationally shortly after the game was finished.
After a shaky first three quarters that included turning the ball over four total times, Mahomes was brilliant when it mattered the most. This, as he lead the Chiefs on three touchdown drives in the final eight minutes to overcome a 10-point deficit for the win.
In doing so, Mahomes and the Chiefs became the first team in NFL history to rally from a 10-point deficit in three playoff games in the same season. And, without question, his legacy is now cemented as one of the future stars of the game.
And, as you could see from the thousands in the video that were in attendance, Mahomes will now have legions and legions of fans that will be tuning in on TV, buying his jersey and cheering him on for years to come.
