As expected, Miami QB Brad Kaaya will forgo his final season in Coral Gables and make himself available for the 2017 NFL Draft.

“The U” confirmed it tonight:

Kaaya just led Miami to a Bowl win over West Virginia last week in Orlando throwing four TD passes. Here was part of his announcement released by the school earlier Monday night:

“While I am looking forward to pursuing my future endeavors, I am going to miss our fans, media, students, administrators, coaches, families, and most importantly my teammates, who were with me through the good times and the tough times,” Kaaya said.

In that same release, first year head coach Mark Richt said, “I want to personally thank Brad for all that he’s done for the University of Miami. He has been a blessing to the program and I know he’s going to have a wonderful professional career. I want to wish him the very best!”

Kaaya leaves as the all time Canes QB leader in completions and passing yards (in just three seasons) and also third all time in TD passes with 69.

Most draft analysts have Kayaa as a mid-round NFL prospect.
