Well not quite midnight and not quite a train, but you get where I’m going with this, Mark Richt heads back to the state of Georgia, where he once held quite a position at the University of Georgia.  Of course this match up is in Atlanta, against ACC foe, Georgia Tech. Richt is obviously familiar with the Yellow Jackets, being that the Bulldogs have had a series with them since before the invention of the forward pass. Let’s dive deeper into this interesting relationship.

If you want to talk about one coach being dominant against another program look at these numbers. Dating back to his assistant days at FSU and through his time in Athens, Richt is 21-2 against Georgia Tech. Here’s the scary number for Wreck fans, he’s 12-0 AT Georgia Tech. That’s just insane.

Mark Richt has NEVER lost to Georgia Tech EVER on the road. The Canes are clearly the favored. Will they make it a lucky 13 for Richt? We shall see…kickoff is noon ET.

Born in the Nation’s Capital, Washington D.C., Ari Russell watched the rise of the 1980’s Miami Hurricanes and knew that he had to be part of the “U” someday. After graduating from Coral Gables, Ari rose through the ranks of the former XM Satellite Radio and then Sirius/XM as college football executive producer. He later spent 2 seasons as the publisher of the website “Beyond U Sports” focusing on major college football/basketball. Ari brings a great perspective on everything Miami, including the Dolphins to F.F.I.
