It’s a busy week in the NFL offseason with the combine wrapping up earlier this week and free agency beginning later in the week. There will be quite a trade rumors that will being to swirl, especially around Tony Romo and Jimmy Garoppolo. There will also be rumors that swirl that have zero to no substance, but will still light up the various media outlets. One of those rumors that at this point has no substance is Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry being moved.
The rumor was started out of your typical disruptive market of Philadelphia, when Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer went on a local radio station to say Landry was being named in potential trades. The Armando Salguero at the Miami Herald after hearing this rumor did some digging, and here’s what they found:
So someone did indeed call about Landry. But the Dolphins are not out there peddling their best wide receiver to the highest bidder.
Now, having said that … everyone has a price. Everyone. And so if some team gets a wild hair about Landry and will give whatever it must to get him, I imagine the Dolphins will listen.

Landry is obviously one of the more explosive players on the Dolphins roster. Can’t imagine there’s a trade that would make sense that would actually help the Dolphins more on the offensive side of the ball, but you never know. That said there will be a ton of rumors going down this week, most of which will have little to no substance.
Right now Dolphins fans shouldn’t worry, Landry is likely staying in South Florida. Now whether Kenny Stills stays is an entirely different situation. If he signs elsewhere, obviously the Dolphins will have to find a viable replacement. That ought to be more of what Dolphins fans should be concerned about, than a random rumor started by a Philadelphian.
