OTAs have kicked off in Miami and off-season pick up, tight end Julius Thomas is looking to fit right in at a new place.
Thomas met with reporters Wednesday and talked about how it’s going to take time and reps to be at the best of his abilities with QB Ryan Tannehill.
Thomas also said this is the best shape he’s been in at 28 and feels that the game’s slowing down and he has some prime years left.
He would go on to say he’s impressed with Tannehill and his growth. Thomas will look to make an instant impact in Miami. Looking to improve on the 551 yards Dolphins Tight ends tallied last season.
Obviously, reporters continue to ask about his time with Jacksonville, where he had signed a massive $46 million contract, which has now been reworked with the Fins. Thomas said he was appreciated and helped him grow as a person, but on the field it just didn’t work out. He had no ill feelings to anyone in the organization.
But, now it’s a new start and Thomas will look to make an instant impact in Miami.
