Horrible news on this Saturday afternoon, as Isaiah Pead, who was on the Dolphins active roster earlier this season, was seriously injured as the driver in a single vehicle car accident early this morning on I-670 in Columbus, Ohio and is clinging to life.

Here’s more on the story from ESPN.com on the accident and the latest updates:

Pead, a running back who played for four seasons with the Rams before signing with Miami in the off-season, had been active in three games this season with eight carries before being released. He had recently worked out in Kansas City for the Chiefs, but did not get a contract offer.

Pead played for the University of Cincinnati and was originally drafted in the second round of the 2012 draft.
