In a game that played out eerily similar to last Saturday night’s dramatic loss to Temple, this time UCF was the better team and knocked off UConn 24-16 Saturday afternoon.
Freshman QB McKenzie Milton was THE story of Saturday as he threw for 317 yards and 3 TD’s to lead the Golden Knights back from a 13-0 deficit to lead 21-16 early in the 3rd quarter when he hit this TD strike:

UCF extended the lead to 24-16 when Matthew Wright booted a 50 yard field goal in rainy sloppy conditions with early in the 4th quarter.
UConn tried to rally behind QB Bryant Sherriffs but both of their late drives to try to tie the game with a TD and a two point conversion, were stopped on downs by the Golden Knights.
Unlike Temple racing down the field last Saturday night in Orlando and throwing the game winning TD with :01 left to stun UCF, this time the UConn final drive was ended on 4 straight incompletions inside the UCF 30 to seal the win.
UCF improves 4-3 and 2-1 in AAC and off an 0-12 season a year ago, it’s obvious new coach Scott Frost has them completely turned around in a positive way.
