Scott Frost was hired at UCF as an up tempo offensive guru, but as Tulane found out Saturday evening in Orlando, the Knights opportunistic defense will burn you, too.
UCF used not one, not two, but three defensive touchdowns to create separation and eventually win going away.
Checkout the Knights second defensive TD of the night as DB Shaquill Griffin makes a spectacular run after the pick and put them up by two scores:

Later in the second half, UCF defender Dirico Johnson added his second touchdown of the night on an 86 yard pick six put the game out reach. Johnson had earlier in the first half run in a fumble from 30 yards out for the Knights first TD, and has likely locked up UCF’s second straight American Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors on Monday.
Freshman phenom QB McKenzie Milton did very little on offense throwing for just 85 yards and and also an INT. He did half a one yard TD run early in the game.
The Golden Knights ascent to respectability continues as they improve to 5-4 and this off an 0-12 season a year ago. That’s more than impressive for Frost who wants wipe out teams with his offense but is fine with his defense taking over, like it did against Tulane.
