Rapid Recap – Jaguars Handle their business against Colts

The Jacksonville Jaguars were looking for a bounce back win after falling last week in a tough road loss to the Arizona Cardinals. This week the opponent the Indianapolis Colts, AFC South foe. If the Jags are looking to make a serious playoff run, these are the types of games they have to win.

The Jags would jump out to a 10-0 lead after a Blake Borltes TD pass and a Josh Lambo field goal. The Colts would get the game within a score with a second quarter field goal. The Jags would respond with Bortles second TD pass this time to Keelan Cole. They would go for two but would fail in executing and would take a 16-3 halftime lead.

Moving to the second half where the Jags would look to take full control of the game after Leonard Fournette punched it in from five yards out.

They would go for two again, this time converting to take a 24-3 third quarter lead.

The Colts however weren’t going to take this laying down as Jacoby Brissett would find T.Y. Hilton for a 40 yard TD catch to cut the lead to 14, 24-10. Josh Lambo would tack on a third quarter field goal and the Jags would have a 27-10 lead heading into the final frame.

Lambo would add a fourth quarter field goal to give the Jags a 30-10 late lead which would be the final score. The Jags would sack Brissett four times and pick him off twice.

Bortles has a very solid day passing for 309 yards and two TDs. These are the types of games the Jags could use from the QB down the stretch.

The Jags move to 8-4 on the season.
