Jaguars first round pick running back Leonard Fournette completed the first week of OTAs, and he and new coach Doug Marrone met with the media Friday.
First, Fournette told the media that getting ready for the NFL is a challenge:

It’s interesting that he’s crediting veteran running back Chris Ivory with helping him get acclimated during these off season sessions. Obviously, Fournette is slated to become the feature back and send Ivory to the bench or possibly out the door, down the road.
Next, Marrone was brutally honest in his assessment saying they only won three football games and there’s obviously work that needs to be done. Assessing Fournette, Marrone said he’s happy with the rookie so far and looks forward to him learning more. He still continues to hold to coach speak that Fournette will have to earn playing time this fall. We all know that he magically will be carrying the ball a bunch, right away.
Clearly, the Jags have assembled talent on both sides of the ball, and they now continue to try to gel leading up to training camp time.
