The success of the 10-4 Jaguars continues to bring accolades from everywhere, including four players to the Pro Bowl. And even as lesser known name, like Jaydon Mickens is getting noticed.
Mickens, an un-drafted player who came to the Jags as a practice squad signee mid-season, was featured prominently during a segment on the growingly popular “Good Morning Football” on NFL Network Wednesday.
For over two minutes co-host Peter Schrager of Fox Sports, talked about Micken’s nomadic path to the Jacksonville active roster and now, success:

Making the most of his opportunity, it’s incredible that the Jags found a player that has already gotten those two AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors and had a two touchdown receiving game who was on another team’s practice squad.
GM David Caldwell and staff deserve credit, but so too do the Jaguars coaches, including receivers coach Keenan McCardell, who not only got Mickens up to speed to be out there at receiver due to their injuries, but he’s been effective.
Having key reserves/depth is another reason why the Jaguars, who are already in the playoffs, are looking for a home game and a bye coming up.
