The already active Jacksonville Jaguars continued their defense retooling on Thursday by signing free agent LB Josh McNary. McNary played in all 16 games last season with the Indianapolis Colts, getting 23 tackles. McNary is the third free agent line backer signed by the Jags thus far.
Audie Cole and Lerentee McCray also signed contracts with the Jags this offseason. McNary is not expected to start as the team already has Myles Jack, Paul Posluszny and Telvin Smith. McNary is likely to play a reserve role and on special teams.
The new look Jaguars defense is at least on paper looking like one of the best in the NFL. By adding Calais Campbell, Barry Church and A.J. Bouye the Jaguars have been really serious about changing the culture on the team.
