Jaguars Ngakoue fined heavily for contact with official last Sunday

Having already avoided a possible suspension by the NFL earlier this week, Jaguars defensive end Yannick Ngakoue was given a $30,387 fine Friday afternoon by the league for “contact with an official” during last Sunday’s loss to the 49ers.
The play in the third quarter resulted in a 15 yard penalty and kept a San Francisco drive alive, where they eventually scored a TD to lead 30-19. Ngakoue clearly made contact with the official and was fortunate that he was not ejected.
This happened earlier this year to Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch, who was not only flagged, but ejected for coming off the bench onto the field and contacting an official during a skirmish after a play in a game with the Chiefs.
Ngakoue is part of defensive line that has ravaged their opponents this year. He has accumulated 12 of their league leading 52 sacks this season.
