The Jaguars Ferrari was still in the garage Thursday. The good news? Looks like it’ll be ready to race on Sunday in Indianapolis.

RB Leonard Fournette was limited for the second straight day to only some running on the side during Thursday’s practice in preparation to the play division Colts. However, he spoke to the media post practice and believes he will be ready to go.

Fournette hurt the ankle planting it to cut in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Rams. After being examined under the Jaguars medical tent, he stayed on the sideline. Coach Doug Marrone said after the game that the coaching staff chose not to put him back in with Jacksonville down by 10 points and looking to throw late in the game, but that he could have played.

The rookie phenom has scored a touchdown in his first six straight games tying an NFL record and is clearly the best weapon offensive coordinator Nate Hackett has at his disposal.

Fournette battled an ankle injury in his final season at LSU that included him missing the November makeup game with the Gators and LSU’s bowl win over Louisville.

With the way the Titans hammered Indy with the run on Monday night, including Derrick Henry capping a 131 yard night with a 72 yard TD run in the final two minutes, the Jags will clearly want Fournette to be a big part of the game plan.
