The Jacksonville Jaguars got some joy back on the offensive side of the ball this week in practice. Rookies Leonard Fournette, DeDe Westbrook, and Cam Robinson were all back to participating in practice this week with Fournette being a full participant. In addition, veteran center Brandon Linder was back in the field taking reps with the offensive line.

Jacksonville has been without Westbrook since before week one when the team placed him on injured reserve with a core-muscle injury. The fourth-round pick had surgery prior to week one and has since been continuing to learn the offense from the sidelines. He spoke about preparing for each game as if he was playing in it, not missing any meetings, and hoping to make a smooth transition when he’s able to play again.

It was projected that the earliest Westbrook would be available to return from injury is Sunday’s week 9 game against Cincinnati. He would provide a spark to the passing game and move into a top-3 receiver role immediately.

The biggest name to return to full participation though is Fournette. He has been out of action since the fourth quarter of Jags’ week 6 matchup with the Los Angeles Rams.

Fournette was plagued by an ankle injury during his final season at LSU and ended up re-aggravating the injury during the game. The injury was not serious enough to put Fournette on IR, but it did limit him in practice for the past few weeks.  After sitting out the Jaguars blowout win over the Indianapolis Colts in week 7, Fournette continued to practice in a limited role while the team had a bye week last week.

With Fournette returning to practice, all signs point towards him playing Sunday against Cincinnati. Stay tuned for more as the week continues to develop.
