That Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to sign three more free agents on Saturday according to reports from Florida Times Union. The players are Arizona offensive lineman Earl Watford, Detroit DT Stefan Charles and Minnesota LB Audie Cole.

Watford, 26, was a fourth-round pick out of James Madison by the Cardinals in 2013. He played only 208 offensive snaps in his first three years before playing 787 (10 starts) for Arizona in 2016. Watford started seven games at right guard and three at right tackle.

Charles, 28, played at the University of Regina (Saskatchewan) and was signed by Buffalo in 2013. He played two years for current Jaguars coach Doug Marrone with the Bills. Charles has only two starts among his 49 career games (five sacks and 60 tackles). He played 12 games for the Lions last year (236 snaps) but missed the final regular season game and the Lions’ playoff loss at Seattle because of a knee injury.

Cole, 27, was a seventh-round pick by Minnesota in 2012 out of North Carolina State. He played 57 games for the Vikings over three years (seven starts) and made 78 tackles and two fumble recoveries. Cole’s great value to the Jaguars will likely be on special teams – his 275 special teams snaps last year were second-most on the Vikings.

The addition of these three players give the Jaguars eight new faces, seven via free agency and one via trade. We did know the Jags were going to be major buyers in free agency. On Saturday they moved forward by adding more depth on both sides of the ball.
