Well so much for a newly rejuvenated Jacksonville Jaguars squad. They ended their season with a heart breaking 24-20 loss to the Colts, which was pretty much an ending quite fitting for the Jags entire season.
From the jump it looked like they Jaguars were building off the momentum from last week’s win jumping out to a 17-0 lead with 5:45 left in the first half. The Colts would tack on a field goal to go into halftime trailing 17-3.
That little field goal seem to be enough to inspire the Colts, as they would tie the game at 17-17 with seconds left in the third quarter.
The fourth quarter was played out like a battle of attrition, with neither team wanting to budge. The Jags would kick a field goal with 1:38 left to go up 20-17. But that was clearly way too much time to give Andrew Luck. Luck would take the Colts down the field in 7 plays before connecting with TE Jack Doyle for the TD to win the game. The Colts would go 75 yards in only 1:24.
The loss moved the Jags to 3-13. Where the Colts end the year at 8-8.
Next up for the Jags in clearly finding a new head coach, then figure out the QB situation as to whether Blake Bortles is still the guy. Then figure out who they select in the draft as they have locked in a top 5 pick.
