Breaking: Jaguars Name Doug Marrone Interim Head Coach For Last Two Games

(Icon sportwire)

As expected the Jacksonville Jaguars named assistant head coach/offensive line coach Doug Marrone as the interim head coach replacing the fired Gus Bradley.  The team’s GM Dave Caldwell made the announcement earlier today.

Marrone has NFL head coaching experience, where was was the Buffalo Bills head coach from 2013-14. Here’s the official announcement from the Jags.

The speculation is already beginning about who’s going to be the team’s next coach. Some of the names being tossed around are Mike Smith, who’s the former Falcons head coach and current DC for Tampa Bay. Another hot name is Patriots OC Josh McDaniels. We shall see what the next move will be with this struggling franchise.
