If you were looking for any sort of update onGator QB Luke Del Rio’s left knee injury status to kick off “Vols week,” Head Coach Jim McElwain (as expected) wasn’t forthcoming at his Monday news conference.
“He’s got a bum leg. He’s going to miss some time. We’ll see.”
Reports everywhere are that it’s a sprained knee ligament for Del Rio and he’s out at least this game and maybe more. Purdue transfer Austin Appleby, who was the on/off starter for two seasons in West Lafayette, IN, appears to be the guy who will start at Neyland Stadium Saturday afternoon.
