It kicks off the “New Year’s Six” bowl slate on Saturday at noon eastern, as the Gators will take on Michigan in the Peach Bowl.

While the game is kind of like a “boxing undercard” for the two College Football Playoff semi-finals between Clemson-Notre Dame and Alabama-Oklahoma later in the afternoon/evening, it obviously has significance for both.

Florida comes in having won nine games under first year coach Dan Mullen and whipping rival FSU at the end of the season. Meanwhile, Michigan still has a bad taste in their mouth from their loss to rival Ohio State that cost them any shot at the Big Ten title game, the CFP or the Rose Bowl.
