The Florida State Seminoles are set to take on the 4th Ranked Clemson Tigers Saturday afternoon in Death Valley, and as nearly a 20 point underdog, they aren’t used to that.

Here are three important things to watch.

Big Game Blackman?

If the Noles want to pull off the upset on the Tigers, we will need to see a strong performance out of the freshman. We have seen his ability to make a big play with his arm. Now though, he will need to do so more consistently and cut down on the fumbles to give this FSU team a chance. Look for Blackman to hit another long pass or two in this one. Will it be enough? Without big plays they have no real chance.

Dominant Derwin?

All eyes are on James, and rightfully so, as he will probably be a top 10 pick in the coming NFL Draft and is the best player on the unit. The defense itself included hasn’t played to its best ability at times this season, but coming off of one of his better games this year look for the momentum to continue in this one as he tries to lead the defense towards its true colors. It will not be easy against Clemson’s powerful attack led by QB Kelly Bryant.

Special Teams-

The unit has had some good with blocked punts, but also some ugly having their kicks blocked, missed field goals, and botched punts. Logan Tyler and Ricky Aguayo will play a big part in this game. It’s not logical to expect the Noles to put up six every possession. So, when called upon, Aguayo needs to be money, and Tyler will need to be able to flip the field and keep the ball away from Clemson’s dangerous Ray-Ray McCloud.

If the Noles want to pull off the big win look for all three of these ingredients to play a role.
