When the Miami Dolphins get set to take on the Baltimore Ravens in Charm City at 1pm Sunday, there will be some serious playoff implications on the line. The Dolphins come in looking for their seventh straight win after starting the season 1-4. If the season ended today, the Dolphins are in the playoffs.

The Ravens right now are clinging to first place in the AFC North. They are tied with the Steelers, but ahead in the standings with the head to head victory over their rival. The Ravens three of their last four and are 6-5 right now. This is a must win game for the Ravens.

This will be a battle between one of the best rushing offenses in the league vs. one of the best rushing defenses in the league.  The Dolphins lead back Jay Ajayi is having a fantastic season, averaging over 5 yards per carry and is 7th in the league in rushing (He didn’t start the season as the lead back). If the Dolphins are going to struggle on the ground, which is possible, then Ryan Tannehill will have to have a good game. During this win streak, Tannehill isn’t lighting the world on fire, but he sure as heck is having a nice run. He’s one of the top rated QBs in the league and he’s pulled some crazy clutch moments, like that go head drive against the Rams two weeks ago.

This is an important game for the Dolphins as far as the playoff is concerned. Obviously it’s possible they could be battling the Ravens for a wild card spot. With the Broncos playing the lowly Jaguars, they need to make sure to keep pace.
