With the fourth pick in this years draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars have selected Leonard Fournette, running back from LSU. Fournette provides a powerful running style that should take some pressure off of quarterback Blake Bortles.
During his time at LSU, Fournette rushed for over 3,800 yards in his three seasons, almost eclipsing the 2,000 yard mark in his sophomore season. He was a Heisman finalist in 2015 and finished sixth in the voting.
Fournette started all three seasons at LSU and will look to take over the starting role. He will have to earn that spot from TJ Yeldon who is the current starter in Jacksonville.
By taking Fournette, the Jags have one piece of their offensive needs filled. They can now focus on the other needs that need to be filled.
