In another shake up to their offensive line, the San Diego Chargers have decided to part ways with former Miami Hurricanes offensive lineman Orlando Franklin. Franklin started in all 26 games he appeared in after signing with the Chargers in 2015.

The move to cut Franklin marks the third time the team has released an offensive lineman this offseason. D.J. Fluker and King Dunlap were the first offensive lineman released before Franklin. The Chargers signed Russell Okung in free agency and also drafted Forrest Lamp from Western Kentucky and Dan Feeney from Indiana . Clearly the offensive strategy was to retool the offensive line and that’s indeed what the Chargers were doing.
