The Florida Gators and the Michigan Wolverines are set to go head to head on Saturday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The specific match ups aren’t the only thing catching some buzz this week. It has been announced that both Florida and Michigan will hear special Nike uniforms for the game. The style of those uniforms is called “Color Rush”and Only Gators takes a look at these uniforms:

The Gators will wear an all-blue uniform with all-blue accessories for the game, but it will don its new-style white helmets rather than a different lid. The gloves will feature Nike’s logo — as opposed to the Gator Head — on the palms.

The Wolverines are putting on all-Maize uniforms with their new Jordan Brand (Jumpman) logo for the first time in program history. Check out pictures of both below.

Florida tweeted out a few photos on how these uniforms look.

Michigan as mentioned will also have the same “Cool Rush” concept here’s what their’s looks like:

The alternative uniform has become a major trend in college football. There has been minimal backlash from traditionalists and uniform purists. Michigan certainly a blue blood football program has one of the most classic uniforms. This will be the first time Michigan will go all maize since 1928.

So far the response has been pretty positive regarding these uniforms. They aren’t too flashy, and actually look pretty sharp. As for the game on Saturday, it should be a fun one. The Wolverines come in ranked 11th in the AP and 9th in the coaches poll, where the Gators are 17th in the AP and 16th in the coaches poll.

This game already has intrigue before the uniform revelations. Both Jim Harbaugh and Jim McElwain have been pretty quiet about their depth chart. Neither coach has announced a starting QB at this point for the game and there isn’t much of a chance that the public will find out anytime before game day. A nice poker play from both coaches never hurts anyone.
