The Jacksonville Jaguars have been one of the busiest teams this offseason in the NFL, looking to improve the team drastically. Apparently they aren’t done. On Monday RB Latavious Murray and DT Dontari Poe visited Jacksonville to see what they had to offer.
Let’s begin with Poe, if he were to sign with Jacksonville it would give the Jags one of the most lethal defenses in the league and certainly one of the toughest defensive lines in the NFL. Think of a starting line up of Poe, Malik Jackson, Dante Fowler Jr. and Calais Campbell. That’s just nasty. It would certainly be an upgrade adding Poe, after the team released Roy Miller over the weekend.
The question will be if the Jags will have enough money to sign Poe, or at least compete with teams such as the Colts who are also in hot pursuit of a quality DT.
On the other side of the ball, the Jags, who had one of the worst rushing attacks in the league last season, sat down with Oakland free agent RB Latavius Murray. Murray is another free agent who’s getting a lot of attention on the open market after a productive season last year. If they do add Murray he would join TJ Yeldon in the backfield. Yeldon has been a major disappointment since the Jags drafted him in the second round of the 2015 draft.
