Clearly, the Dolphins are intent on remaking their roster and the culture in their building. And bringing in veteran free agents like WR Danny Amendola and OG Josh Sitton will only help in those areas. Oh, and Sitton is an amateur comedian, too. More on that in a moment.
First, Amedola’s surprise signing from the AFC East Rival Patriots earlier this week is a clear indication that VP Mike Tannenbaum and GM Chris Grier value having someone who’s played in and helped win big games in the post season helping the Fins. Amendola fits that criteria, including his game winning TD catch in the AFC Title Game win over the Jaguars, where he “toe tapped” on the back in line (above) to help go back to the Super Bowl for the third time in four years.
In terms of his skill set, Amendola is not a game breaker, but is a solid underneath receiver who will become a third down security blanket for Miami’s QBs. He had this message for Dolphins fans here Thursday evening:

Next, Sitton, who was a four time Pro Bowl guard for the Packers and the Bears, is also expected to bring a some of the “winning attitude” that coach Adam Gase and staff are craving. The 31 year old was part of the Packers 2010 Super Bowl winning season and has played in an impressive 13 post season games in his career.
Miami plans to move Sitton from right guard, where he played for new offensive coordinator Dowelll Loggains in Chicago the last couple of seasons, to left guard.
He had a humorous response to the Miami media Friday afternoon about the adjustment from one side of the line to the other:
Josh Sitton, on switching sides on the offensive line: "I compare it to trying to wipe your ass with the opposite hand. It's different when you don't know the position. I hope I'll end up on the left side."

Aside from “wiping” differently, Sitton would be a mentor to former #1 pick left tackle Laremy Tunsil. Something that he actually relishes, as a veteran.
The Dolphins have obviously had roster turnover already with deleting veterans: WR Jarvis Landry, C Mike Pouncey, DT Ndamukong Suh, and LB Lawrence Timmons.
Now, they hope that they can rebuild quickly with guys like Amendola and Sitton being part of the foundation.
