With the Dolphins re-signing DE Andre Branch and WR Kenny Stills this week to maintain some semblance of consistency, there are still some major needs the team needs to address. One of the main concerns this offseason was to strengthen the linebacker corps. One of the free agents they have shown some major interest in, is Lawrence Timmons.

Timmons who at 30 has played in all but four games for the Steelers the past eight seasons. In 2016 he had 114 tackles 2.5 sacks, one forced fumble and two INTs. Obviously adding a player of Timmons caliber would give a significant presence in the middle of the field. Timmons is a seasoned vet and an All-Pro. He would add another lawyer of toughness to an already physical defense.

It has been reported that the interest is mutual between Timmons and the Dolphins. In addition, the Timmons, the Dolphins are also targeting free safety. One name floating around is New England’s Duron Harmon. Thursday should an interesting day with regards to free agency singings. We shall see what transpires.
