Dolphins continue to solidify offensive line-bring back Bushrod

There  was speculation the Dolphins might be losing another starting offensive lineman when Jermon Bushrod hinted that after 10 seasons he might retire. On Thursday, Bushrod decided to play on and in Miami.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed but Bushrod and the Dolphins confirmed his signing on social media late Thursday afternoon:

Bushrod started all 16 games last season primarily at right guard. He had previously played right guard for coach Adam Gase in Chicago and signed a one-year deal a year ago to join him in Miami.

Bushrod might be in for a position switch, as Laremy Tunsil is expected to replace Branden Albert at left tackle after he was dealt to Jacksonville. He is also considered a mentor to Tunsil in the Fins locker room.

While not sexy, you definitely win games up front and the Miami run game clearly improved as the season went on with Jay Ajayi running wild at times and the team winning nine of 10 games to make the playoffs.

So, Thursday was another good day for the Dolphin offense.
