The Dolphins shook up their depth at wide receiver on Sunday, when they claimed former Titan 2013 second round pick and part time starter, Justin Hunter. Hunter gets added as the sixth receiver to a room with star Jarvis Landry but also rookies Leonte Caroo and Jakeem Grant who appear to have stuck on the 53, as well.

Hunter’s best season with Tennessee was 2014 with 28 catches 498 yards and 3 TD’s, but he never really settled into a consistent role as part of Titans passing game.
Hunter does have a bit of a checkered past, including an arrest July 4th weekend of 2015 in Virginia Beach, VA for a late night bar fight where he is seen on video throwing punches. He was ultimately acquitted in September shortly after the 2015 season started. He also suffered a season ending ACL injury his sophomore year at the University of Tennessee, which he later overcame to lead the Vols in receiving and be drafted by the Titans.
The addition of Hunter spelled the release of former Colts WR Griff Whalen, who had made the initial 53 man roster Saturday.
