Miami Dolphins made official Friday what had been rumored for the past few weeks in terms of new head coach Brian Flores would be filling out his coaching staff.

The Dolphins announced the moves via their website:

Flores is bringing New England offensive assistant Chad O’Shea with him to be his offensive coordinator and will use former Colts and Lions head coach Jim Caldwell, as his assistant head coach and have him work with the quarterbacks.

Flores has hired Green Bay defensive assistant Patrick Graham as his new defensive coordinator. Although, it’s expected to Flores will have much more input into the Dolphins defense, as that has been his specialty for the past 10-plus seasons in New England.

As we wrote previously, Flores declined to keep Miami special teams coordinator of the last few years, Darren Rizzi. Instead, Miami has hired former Buffalo special teams coordinator Danny Crossman in the same role staying in the same division.

As part of the hiring of his assistants, Flores will bring in former Giants and Jaguars offensive line coach Pat Flaherty to the Miami staff, and has rehired Eric Studesville, as Miami’s running backs coach. He is also bringing in former Dolphins and Jets receivers coach and UCLA head coach, Karl Dorell, as his receivers coach.

A couple of other notable defensive assistants include: Jaguars defensive line coach Marion Hobby being hired in the same role for Miami, and Flores has retained Tony Oden from last year to coach safeties for this season.

This will be the first time that Flores has been a head coach at any level after spending the last 15 years working his way up the New England coaching staff.

He was the defensive play-caller for the Patriots Super Bowl 53 win on Sunday over the LA Rams. And Flores has been part of three Super Bowl wins in the last 5 Seasons in New England under Bill Belichick.
