Devante Parker continues public disrespect of former Fins great Chambers

Not all is “rosey” among current and former Miami Dolphins, and it’s a curious case of disrespect that Fins WR DeVante Parker has former Miami Pro Bowl receiver Chris Chambers.

It’s not a secret that the former first round pick out of Louisville has underachieved during his first three years. Parker has failed to catch 60 passes or for 1,000 yards in any of those seasons. Nevertheless, the potential of what he can do is still in South Florida is big enough that Miami decided last month to pick up Parker’s fifth year option on his rookie contract.

So, that is a vote of confidence from the team.

However, Chambers, who had an 1,000 yard 11 TD season in Miami in 2005, has been been publicly critical of Parker’s lack of production in the past and now recently in this offsesaon, has revealed that Parker has cut off communicating with him.

Now comes the latest on Sunday evening.

A Miami based sports podcast promoted that they have Chambers, who played 10 seasons in total, on their latest edition to rank the current roster of Dolphins receivers.

And, that’s when Parker decided to chime in on social media and escalate his public feud:

Look. This isn’t the first or the last time that a player in a local market has received criticism from another former player publicly, through the media, etc.

Still, it’s not a good look, when that player hasn’t lived up to what he should have is publicly rejected the help or advice of a former star at his position.

For now, Parker has the chance to silence Chambers and any other critics with his play. However, that doesn’t come until this fall.

So, we are currently left, popcorn and all, with sitting and watching the discourse.
